We Need a Little Thanksgiving

Nov 21, 2020

Hello, Readers--

It's that time of year. The holiday season. Thanksgiving, Kwanza, Chanukah, Christmas and more. We have our traditions--family and friends seated around the table enjoying the family recipes, the stories, the memories. We gather for ceremonial celebration, for songs and prayers, gifting and sharing, pledging respect and hoping for peace.

But we're all celebrating a little differently this year. Maybe I should say honoring. Holidays bring us their ups and downs. That's life. And life is precious, no matter how up and down it can be. Our holidays are about remembering and teaching and learning and caring. And fun! But more than ever, this year may be the time to be quiet and listen, the season for opening our hearts and minds. We don't need parties and crowds for that. We need peace and love.

This week we need a little Thanksgiving. We're keeping it small this year, looking forward to a bigger helping in 2021. Meanwhile, we readers will always have comfort read to lift our spirits. And, yes, my publisher has made a tradition of putting my holiday collection of novellas on sale. THE SHARING SPOON is available for $.99 through all your favorite e-book retailers through the end of November. Here's a link to it on Amazon, where you'll get the lowdown on a Thanksgiving story and 2 Christmas stories, contemporary and historical. http://tinyurl.com/KEnovellas

I wish you and yours safety and good health. And, of course, happy reading!
