For My Daughter's Wedding

 Guys and Dolls

            June 13 ~  Happy Birthday,Elizabeth!
Here's a post wedding suggestion for the mother of the bride who complains that they didn't make Collector Edition Barbies when she was a kid.  I met Linda Bakken, a reader from Rochester, MN, when she came to one of my library speaking engagements.  We exchanged e-mail addresses, and when I visited her web site I discovered her "Fabulous Fashions."  I ordered these fabulous creations for Elizabeth's birthday.  They were reasonably priced and exact in every detail, right down to the flowers in the bouquet.

       But what about the guys?

Well, they're more interested in the real thing.  One of the highlights of Elizabeth and John's reception came when the groomsmen got down on one knee and serenaded the bride.  They sang "Kiss Him Good-bye" acappella.  Then it was the groom's turn.  He sang "I Just Want To Grow Old With You" from the movie, "The Wedding Singer."
And the best part was, they all sounded wonderful!
