Relax With a Good Book

Jul 13, 2016

Dear Reader,
First, I'm all about the bargains. Bell Bridge Books is running a July sale on the digital (e-book) version of YOU NEVER CAN TELL, which is the sequel to THE LAST GOOD MAN. This link: http://tinyurl.com/eagleynct will get you the Amazon listing with a summary and an excerpt, but all the online bookstores that offer e-books are offering the book at the sale price of $.99, so it's painless to add this one to your e-reader library for summer reading. And in case you missed it, my latest re-release is an updated and heavily revised (by me) PRIVATE TREATY--the first book I wrote. Check it out: http://tinyurl.com/keaglept
We just came back from North Dakota, and a good time was had by all. Our granddaughters love seeing grandmas and grandpas--in Lakota Country, you're a grandparent to brothers' and sisters' grandchildren, so Clyde and I have had grandchildren ever since we were married. The girls have a great time getting together with their many cousins, too. And we all got to play around with the horses. But the best part of the trip for me was the reunion of the Fort Yates High School Class of '71, the class that launched my 17-year teaching career at Standing Rock Reservation. Oh, it was so much fun to reminisce with "my kids." (Fresh out of college, I was about 4 years older than they were!) I'm going to write a blog post about coming full circle, so check kathleeneagle.wordpress.com this weekend if you have a chance.
Next up, RIDE A PAINTED PONY, newly edited and first time available in trade paperback and in e-book. I'll let you know when it's out. I'm working on new books, too, I promise. Be sure to check in next Monday (the 18th) at https://www.facebook.com/groups/insidethebelltower when I'll post a discussion topic and give away a book or two.
I hope you're having a good summer, that the skies are granting you good weather, and that you're finding time to enjoy some good stories. Thank you for your interest in mine!

Happy reading!
Kathleen Eagle
