Kathleen Eagle's New Book Goes On Sale

Aug 27, 2010

Hello, dear reader--

First off, I have another new book for you. ONCE A FATHER is officially available right now through your favorite bookstores and their online counterparts, including Amazon.com.

Tribal councilman and traditional Lakota horse trainer Logan Wolf Track wants to participate in "Mustang Sally's Makeover Challenge," but Sally Drexler (from both ONE COWBOY, ONE CHRISTMAS and COOL HAND HANK) claims Logan has a conflict of interests. He's primarily interested in getting some publicity for his training methods, but he's also a supporter of the Double D Wild Horse Sanctuary, and he wouldn't mind getting in on the prize money at the end of the competition. Army Sergeant Mary Tutan is home on leave. She, too, wants to compete in the training contest. As a trainer of military service dogs, she knows something about animals, but her good friend, Sally, tells her she's not qualified. If you know Sally, you know she's got something up her sleeve.

Check out kathleeneagle.com to read the first few pages of ONCE A FATHER. I hope you'll be intrigued. Logan's two adopted sons are prime candidates for books of their own soon. In fact, rodeo cowboy Trace Wolf Track is raring to buck his book out in early 2011. The book that launched this series with Silhouette Special Edition--IN CARE OF SAM BEAUDRY--was a finalist for a RITA award this year, and COOL HAND HANK was a USA Today bestseller, so we must be doing something right.

This summer somehow got away from me. It's been a nice one in Minnesota weather-wise, and with the garden, our beautiful lakes, the plethora of arts and sports and kid-friendly programs, who'd want to be anywhere else? Oh, and I had a book to write. In the next couple of weeks it's State Fair and Renaissance Festival time, and I'll be ushering the grandkids back to school after Labor Day. They're already talking about what they want to be for Halloween!

Please visit www.ridingwiththetopdown.blogspot.com and chat with my writer buddies and me. If you like to Twitter, we just started doing that, too. We'd love to have you follow us. Have a colorful autumn.

Happy Reading!
