As you know, RIDE A PAINTED PONY came out in hardcover at the end of 2006, just in time to be named one of the "Top 5 Romances of 2006" by LIBRARY JOURNAL. I'm thrilled to be selected again. Librarians are the coolest people!
Right now there's a nice review of the book up at http://www.wnbc.com/romance/index.html along with a short interview with me. This is a nationally syndicated review column--very well put together by reviewer Michelle Buonfiglio.
On Wednesday, Jan10, I'll be the guest all day long on Michelle's blog at http://romancebytheblog.blogspot.com. I hope you'll stop in and give me some love and moral support. I'm talking about the weight I lost in 2006 (50 big ones), complete with before and after photos. I'm hoping people will find my story encouraging. Lord knows I wouldn't "expose" myself otherwise.
At the same time--Wednesday, Jan10, all day--my longtime Silhouette editor, Leslie Wainger, is guest blogging with me at www.ridingwiththetopdown.blogspot.com. I've worked with Leslie since 1983 (when we were both babies) and she has so much wisdom to offer anyone who's trying to get published, as well as tons of insight if you're just curious about how books get picked and published. I hope you'll stop in.
I've added a new feature to my web site. My son put together a slide show of our horses (some belong to my dear b-i-l)as a background for a short audio reading from RIDE A PAINTED PONY. That my voice you'll hear.
I'm busy writing the sequel to RIDE A PAINTED PONY as we speak. It's called MYSTIC HORSEMAN and it's Dillon's story. Plans are to publish it as a paperback original in March '08. Updates to follow.
I hope your New Year is off to a good start. Thanks so much for your continued support and your interest in my stories.
